Last year, we were proud to receive the Activism Award from Mayor Da Silva and FeedRI, recognizing our commitment to fighting food insecurity across the state. This year, we’re honored to pass the award to our friends at AAA , who share our mission of community impact.

But the work is far from done.

As of 2024, hunger is affecting Rhode Islanders at unprecedented levels. Nearly 38% of households—almost two out of every five—are food insecure, struggling to afford enough food for an active, healthy life. This marks the highest rate ever recorded, even surpassing the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Who is FeedRI?
FeedRI, formerly known as We Share Hope, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to local pantries, shelters, and organizations across Rhode Island. Their mission is simple yet powerful: feed those in need while reducing food waste.
